About me...

My Story

I know what it feels like to wake up and go to bed obsessing about food and your body and feel uneasy in your own skin. For years, that was my story.

Even though I’m a smart, educated woman—with a degree in Exercise Physiology and a nutrition certification, too—I constantly struggled with my eating habits, body image, and self-esteem. For YEARS, I wasted so much time counting calories and carbs, trying to use food as a way to bring control into my life—but it never worked and just left me feeling further out of control. As the owner of a Pilates studio, I witnessed my clients going through the exact same struggle. It broke my heart. Back in those days, I didn't know the best way to help my clients, but now I do.

In my thirties, I reached a point where I was fed up and exhausted by all the food drama. I wanted to feel peaceful around food, once and for all! I was done playing small, done being disappointed in my body, and done feeling like a failure.

I finally learned about Health at Every Size and started using Intuitive Eating as it was intended and not as another diet. I studied instensively for 6 months with Isabel Foxen Duke to become a diet recovery coach which not only changed my life, but dramatically changed the way I work with clients, too. I learned that it’s possible to re-wire your attitude about your body, shed years of negative thinking, and eat and exercise from a place of self-love and self-respect, rather than self-punishment.

The road from restrictive eating and dieting to having a peaceful relationship with food is a journey and I can be your guide.

Today, as a certified weight neutral coach and yoga and Pilates teacher, I’m here to help you end the struggle with chronic dieting/deprivation and poor body image—and get you feeling healthier and more confident than you’ve felt in years!

Right now, I want you to imagine… what would feel like a miracle for you?

Maybe for you, it would feel like a miracle to be able to enjoy dessert without feeling guilty. Maybe it would feel like a miracle to have one clothing size in your closet instead of six different sizes “just in case” you swing up or down. Maybe it would feel like a miracle to wake up and feel gorgeous and confident, not because you’ve got six-pack abs, just because you ACCEPT yourself, period. Or maybe for you, exercising consistently would feel miraculous—not comparing yourself to other women, and not exercising to punish yourself for something you ate, just moving your body purely because it feels good.

I want to help you experience those kinds of miracles, and many more.

When I'm not inspiring women to ditch diets, I'm on my yoga mat teaching women how to reconnect with their bodies in a way that's challenging, yet nourishing.

If you live in Boston, come work with me in person!

The rest of the time, I'm loving up my six kids, husband and cavapoo while planning our next adventure around the globe.

"I was prompted to feel grateful that amongst all the lists that surround me (lphysically and mentally) feeling anxious about food is no longer top of any of them. It’s such a relief that I can anticipate each day free of dread. Thank you once again for helping me to face up to what had become such an ingrained habit that I wasn’t even that aware that it was there. Life is definitely better without it and I’m enjoying all the challenges along the way. Your support has had a lasting impact on breaking my predominantly negative relationship with my body and allowing me the freedom to support my daughter to live life differently. She’s still blossoming and was the reason I initially made contact so another reason to celebrate."
